One of our debut products back in 2012 was called Bon Bon. A make-it-yourself style hair treatment mask that looked, smelled and was even wrapped like a bar of chocolate. And lots of people ate it. Whilst it didn't do them any harm, it wasn't quite as effective taken internally. So we discontinued it and lots of you were disappointed. But now, hair masks are back! Easier to use, more effective and packed full of even more delicious ingredients, but in a less edible package. Each mask comes in a cute little box containing two heart-shaped bars. Each bar concentrate makes 150ml of mask cream and you can store any leftover mask in the fridge for up to a week. They are both made with delicious ingredients: Hemp oil – for condition and shine. Hemp oil is a new addition to our ingredients and is produced in New Zealand. Coconut oil – a deep conditioning superstar. Our coconut oil is fair trade, cold pressed and organic, from Samoa. Vitamin B5 – my favourite hair additive. Vitamin B5 has been shown in studies to increase hair's suppleness and retain moisture within the hair shaft. Guar Gum – guar gum derivatives add condition and shine to hair. Cocoa butter – one of my favourite ingredients. Adds both structure to the bar and shine, condition and moisture to your hair. This time round we have two types – Bloom for dry, damaged hair and Boost for all hair types. Bloom is for those of you who have super dry, damaged or frizzy hair. Perhaps after a colour or style treatment or if you go swimming a lot! It's a super hydrating treat for you hair and contains rice quat and quinoa protein both which are super conditioning and hydrating – perfect for stressed hair. Jojoba protein improves hair colour retention and rice quat forms a film on the hair shaft, preventing breakage and adding shine. We scent Bloom lightly with lavender, ylang ylang & rosemary. Boost is for those looking for a general condition and shine well, boost! For all hair types (including oily), it's a great treatment to add in to your routine. We have added Baobab and Jojoba protein, both which retain moisture in the hair shaft and smooth the cuticle, adding shine. Baobab also adds elasticity and strength to hair, reducing breakage. Boost has a sweet citrus scent with lime, lemongrass, mandarin and vanilla oils. But how to use them? Easy peasy. Simply pop a heart in a small mug and half fill with boiling water. Mix till the heart is completely melted (chop up to melt quicker) then leave for 10-15 mins to cool. It will thicken as it cools. Then simply glop it on your dry hair and massage in. Leave on for at least twenty minutes, then rinse. You could leave it on for longer if you want, but any longer than an hour is a waste of your time.
