Do shampoo and conditioner bars work on curly hair?
Yes! Of course! Our solid shampoo and conditioner bars work on all hair types, including curly hair. Our curly range has been specially formulated in line with curl care principles and have been trialed by curly Ethique customers, with 90% who would recommend the duo to friends and family.
What makes curly hair shampoo different?
Our Professor Curl solid shampoo is pH balanced and gently cleanses without drying curls out. Professor Curl shampoo will help promote soft hair and defined curls. You won’t find any sulfates, silicones, waxes or drying alcohols.
How often should you shampoo curly hair?
While our solid shampoo bars are suitable to use daily, it depends on your curly hair, and lifestyle. We recommend that you shampoo your curly hair when you feel it’s needed. However, if you co-wash your hair, we highly recommend shampooing once every 3-4 weeks to prevent the risk of fungal infections.
How to use curly hair shampoo?
Apply shampoo bar directly to your curls (not your hands) by swiping the bar onto wet hair. Put the bar down (you need less than you think). Massage the scalp to work up a creamy lather and smooth the product through the rest of your curly hair. Rinse and follow with curly hair conditioner if needed.
How to use curly hair conditioner?
Slide the conditioner bar down your thoroughly wet curly hair. As a conditioner: distribute product through curls with fingers or a wide-toothed comb. Leave for 1-2 minutes, then rinse. As a co-wash: massage the scalp to ensure dirt and oils are removed. Rinse well. Repeat if desired.
